Clear Channel v. Brian Jeffries
Voice of the Wildcats free to continue broadcasting.
We successfully defended Brian Jeffries The Voice of the Wildcats against several attempts by Clear Channel to prevent him from broadcasting U of A football games and his radio talk show concerning Arizona Wildcat sports from radio station 1210 The Source after Arizona moved its broadcasting contract from Clear Channel to The Source. We were successful in convincing the court that Clear Channel's non-compete clause was overly broad and would destroy Mr. Jeffries' career. The injunctive relief was denied and Jeffries was allowed to broadcast without missing a beat at The Source.
