Dev K. Sethi

Dev Sethi

AVVO 10.0 Rating

Best Lawyers

Dev Sethi is one of Tucson's most respected personal injury lawyers, and has successfully litigated many extremely complex cases. He has an AV Preeminent® Rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, a legal peer review rating service, and has represented plaintiffs in several high profile personal injury cases—even achieving a $5,000,000 verdict against Oro Valley hospital. This was a landmark victory, which had been appealed by the hospital, moving first through the state civil court system, then the state appeals court and finally, the Supreme Court of Arizona, with a final decision in favor of the client.

Dev has played a significant part in several auto part and system cases, including the Goodyear Load Range E Tire, a scandal in which Goodyear was investigated for having engaged in a "silent recall" by replacing tires that had tread separation, rather than recalling this dangerous product that had been linked to a number of serious injuries and fatal accidents. He also served in a case against Ford Motor Company involving 15-passenger vans, and a range of other high profile product liability cases. He is a focused, talented and dedicated personal injury lawyer, and has a 10.0 Avvo "Superb" rating.

His background serving as a defense attorney for insurance companies and other corporate giants has given Dev great insight into how these companies defend against injury claims, while working for O'Connor Cavanagh, a well-known corporate defense firm. This knowledge has proven to be of great benefit to his personal injury clients. He is also deeply involved in filing claims for victims of abuse, bringing cases against government entities at the city, county, state and federal levels, and seeking justice for victims in truck and auto accident cases.

Dev graduated from Duke University (A.B. 1994) and then gained his Juris Doctor degree from the Arizona College of Law in 1997, where he served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of International and Comparative Law. He continues to be involved in the legal education field, serving as an Adjunct Professor, and is a current member and former president of the Law College Association Board of Directors. He has been recognized by the University of Arizona as a recipient of the Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

He donates his time as an active Board Member of both Children's Museum Tucson and Ben's Bells, as well as coaching youth soccer. He shares his life with his wife Olivia and their two young children.
